Hockenheim : Double top-10 for Hansson and Fredricsson in German cup
The Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavian Vice-Champion team Fragus BR Motorsport travelled to Germany last week in order to take part to the Finale round of the very competitive German cup.
Oscar Palm, who finished 6th in the standings, was substituted by young Swedish driver Pontus Fredricsson alongside double race winner Robin Hansson.
In the first free practice session, Hansson put his nº40 Porsche in 8th position while Pontus finished in 16th place. The young driver progressed in qualifying, classifying himself 15th while Hansson was 12th.
Race 1 was suspended after a heavy crash in the first lap, slightly damaging Fredricsson’s car. At the restart, both drivers battled through the field : Hansson managed to score his first ever top-10 in German cup with a 10th place, and Fredricsson finished in 14th place.
While the championships contender were fighting at the front of the pack in Race 2, both Fragus BR Motorsport drivers did a pretty good job. While Hansson managed to bring his grey and yellow car to the 8th place, Fredricsson concluded very positively his first GT experience abroad with a finale 10th position, putting both Fragus cars in the top-10.
Good job to our drivers and all the team for a competitive 2016 season !
