Anderstorp : Another double-podium for Hansson and Palm

Fresh for its first victory in Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, Fragus BR Motorsport travelled to Anderstorp, home of the former Swedish Formula 1 Grand Prix, to take part to the 3rd round of the 2016 season.

Currently lying 4th in the team standings, with Robin Hansson 6th and Oscar Palm 9th in the drivers’ classification, the team aimed to repeat the good performance seen at Mantorp Park. In Free Practice, Robin Hansson and his number 31 car set the pace, scoring the fastest laptime of the field in front of Morin, while Oscar Palm was lying 6th in the classification.

In Qualifying 1, Palm improved his rhythm, placing his car in 3rd position, closely followed by his team mate in 4th. Q2 would see Hansson score the third fastest time, while a mistake in Oscar’s lap made him drop to 7th.

While race 1 saw Larsson dominating from start to finish, Hansson took the advantage over his team mate in the second lap and then crossed the finish line in second position, after Morin span out in Turn 5. Palm finished in 3rd position, completing the second double podium of the year for Fragus BR Motorsport. In Race 2, Hansson fought for the victory against Morin and Larsson, but eventually finished the race in 3rd place, while Palm finished 6th.

In the standings, Hansson climbed up to 5th and Palm to 7th, while Fragus BR Motorsport is now 2nd in front of Cirkus Karlsson and PFI Racing.
